ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS

Applying to adopt through WAAGR is two step process, but don't worry, we promise it's simple! Please complete both steps in order to be eligible for adoption through WAAGR.

Application & Hold Harmless Agreement

Click the link below to complete the full adoption application which includes your personal information and what type of dog you're looking to adopt.

Towards the bottom of the application, you'll also see our Hold Harmless Agreement that will require your signature.

Pay Application Fee

Clink the link below to complete the last step of our adoption process, which is the $35 fee to process your application.

Tip: Call your vet a call upon submission to give them permission to provide basic information to us about your current and past pets. This is part of our application process and it will speed up your app being approved!

To be eligible to adopt from WAAGR:

You must complete WAAGR's adoption application and pay the adoption application fee.

You must be at least 21 years old.

You must live in Wisconsin or within 60 minutes of the Wisconsin/Illinois border.

You must pass a background check.

You cannot have an aggressive resident dog at home.

You must call your veterinarian to release your current or past pets' vet records.

All pets must be or have been up to date on vaccines and well taken care of. *Must be completed within 30 days of application submission.
